In 2021, the MADDS program found that 1 in 4 counterfeit pills they tested contained fentanyl here in MA. The DEA laboratory testing recently revealed 6 out of 10 fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills now contain a potentially lethal dose of fentanyl.

Now more than ever we need to be aware of the dangers of counterfeit pills, what the signs of an opioid overdose are, and having naloxone (also known as Narcan) available. The event will be:
