There has been growing concern of the presence of an animal tranquilizer, xylazine, that has been found in the illicit drug supply. According to the Massachusetts Drug Supply Data Stream program, 1 in 4 heroin/fentanyl samples contained xylazine!
We will be hosting a training in collaboration with the Boston Medical Center’s OBAT TTA team on the current drug trends of xylazine and how best to recognize and respond to xylazine intoxication and overdose. This training will provide important information for both public health and public safety, so all are welcome.
