About us
Your connection to substance use harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services.
Your bridge to hope.
The Helpline is funded by the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Our goal is to help you connect with the right harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services and support for you. We refer to hundreds of treatment services funded and/or licensed by the MA Department of Public Health. We don’t sell anything, and we don’t operate any treatment programs.
Our services are free and confidential, and we are committed to providing caring and non-judgmental support. Many of our trained Helpline Specialists are people in recovery or have personal experience with SUD. They can help you understand the treatment system and your options.
When you call or use the website, the Helpline will:
- Assess your needs with simple questions
- Provide referrals to harm reduction, treatment, and recovery services
- Help you access treatment
- Provide information and answer your questions about substance use disorders, treatment, and recovery
- Follow up with you after your first call, to see how you’re doing
