You Can Save a Life: New harm reduction resources available in the state of Massachusetts!

Massachusetts is launching a new set of harm reduction resources: You Can. This initiative gives community members the tools they need to reverse overdose and save lives. Created in collaboration with local harm reduction partners, these powerful resources consist of a website; 1- minute instructional videos with overdose prevention, recognition, and response strategies; storyteller videos from people in the community affected by overdose; and training and outreach materials for education and awareness. These resources enable people to:

  • Know what puts someone at risk of overdose death and have the skills to prevent it;
  • Recognize the power of rescue breathing; and
  • Carry Narcan, share You Can materials with their peers, and take steps to prevent overdose deaths.

To learn more about this initiative and explore the resources available, visit www.YouCan.info or attend the community launch event, You Can Save a Life. This event will give participants an opportunity to interact with the resources firsthand, connect with community members, and listen to inspiring speakers, including Stephen Murray from the Massachusetts Overdose Helpline.
